I write for The Meteor who (amongst other things) are aiming to shine a light on people in Manchester who care. Arguably everything is political but my approach is to focus on the people not the parties who are making a difference. Making a difference is easier and more effective if it’s a group effort so when RainOnMe FC, a queer football team, announced on social media they were boycotting the Qatar 2022 World Cup I was immediately interested in finding out more.
